Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to investigate the history of English/American literature education and scholarship in East Asia under Japanese hegemony/colonization until 1945, archival researches were conducted at National Taiwan University (former Taipei Imperial University), Taiwan Normal University (former Taipei High School), National Seoul University (former Keijo Imperial University). Firm network with East Asian scholars of American/English literature who share similar perspectives and academic interests was established . This research project has also proved itself to be fundamental to gain wider perspectives for the future of American/English literature education/ scholarship in East Asia.
