Research Abstract |
1D Bose gases constructed by ultra-cold atoms in optical lattices are quantum integrable systems. Adjusting the tunneling rate between the 1D Bose systems, one can observe and control non-equilibrium dynamics. Important concepts and models included in the KAM theory have been successfully applied for classical, nearly integrable systems. Preliminary experiments with cold Bose gases were done, eventually to clarify how the classical theory and model will be modified for integrable quantum many-body systems.
