Research Abstract |
Through analysis of the historical documents "Zo-Ishiyamadera-syo (office of Ishiyamadera Temple Construction) documents" included in "Shosoin monjo" at Nara period, this research is aimed to clarify the construction process, planning, situation of labor, and the restoration of the temple. As the main part of the documents is communication record about the building materials between the construction site of Ishiyamadera and the timber forest at mountain, it is needed to understand as precisely as possible the information of building components, based on its verification work. In response to this, it performs the restoration of construction process of material supply, and also of the form of the Ishiyamadera Temple main hall, to take into account the size and quantity (such as long-press and pillar) Type of building components.
