Research Abstract |
Asymmetric cell division, "budding", produces a virgin daughter and an older mother. Rejuvenation of the daughter in budding may be from sequestration of aging factors into the mother. In this project, we found that ribonuclease-resistant RNAs are specifically accumulated into aged mother cell. For time-consuming process of genetic analysis, we also developed a web tool for mutation identification by next-generation sequencing.
