Research Abstract |
Henophagocytpsis is conventionally viewed as an indicator of severe inflammation. We established a murine model for hemophagocytosis. Using this model, we newly found that DC-mediated hemophagocytosis is the machinery to fine-tune excessive immune responses and assure host survival under severe infectious and inflammatory conditions.
