Research Abstract |
Microglia have a biphasic neurotoxic or neuroprotective role in the pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative diseases. In this study, we examined the method for microglial differentiation into neuroprotective cells. We clarified that treatment of IL-34 and TGF for 7 days induces neuroprotective property in microglia, which exert neuroprotection against amyloid beta toxicity.
