Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A web-based distributed database system has been developed with an aim of continuing delivery of geologic data even if a large-scale disaster occurs. The distributed database system is constructed by combination of PostgreSQL and pgpool-II. PostgreSQL is a relational database management system. Pgpool-II has a function for management of distributed PostgreSQL databases. The operation of the Web system was confirmed using about 1500 borehole data.
