Research Abstract |
To evaluate patients' capability of vehicle driving in hospital setting, author developed a movie-based hazard detection task, which includes eight driving scene for two minutes. Author normalized the data from 67 older drivers living in the community (averaged-age 67.2) based on the scene and frequency that hazard situation was detected. Older drivers in the community scored 17.1, on the other hand, five stroke patients (averaged-age 69.0) who wish to resume driving showed 12.3. Results suggest that newly developed task in this research could evaluate a part of capability of vehicle driving.
