Research Abstract |
We have developed the method to determine formaldehyde-releasers in cosmetics. Using the developed method, we identified unknown compounds derived from formaldehyde-releasers in cosmetics. Two common decomposition products were found from cosmetics containing imidazolidinyl urea and diazolidinylurea. These common decomposition compounds were possible causative agent of cross-reaction between imidazolidinyl urea and diazolidinyl urea.
