Research Abstract |
Because the hepatocellular carcinoma usually is developed based on the obstacle livers such as virus infection or the alcohol hepatitis, it is necessary to consider a metastasis, a recurrence and the re-treatment. Therefor, its treatment should have high curability and be less invasive. The purpose of this study is to develop the new therapy for the hepatocellular carcinoma using metal nanoparticles such as magnetite or titanium dioxide with irradiation (magnetic field or supersonic wave). The cancer transplant model and the DEN carcinogenesis model were used. The artery predominance of the tumor in the DEN carcinogenesis model was confirmed by dynamic CT. The surgical procedure of hepatic artery injection in rat was established. The generation of heat by magnetic field with magnetic nanoparticles and free radical by a supersonic wave with titanium dioxide were confirmed. The suppression of tumor growth was observed in the subcutaneous tumor model with titanium dioxide.
