| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We aimed to explicate the overall of Leibniz's philosophy of mathematics and produced the following results. First, it turned out that the relationship between Leibniz's study of geometry and his theory of space could be traced with more precision than previous studies. Secondly, we showed that the concept of monad is involved in the development of the theory of space. So, it is concluded that studies on monadology is also needed. Furthermore, examined critically the previous research on the existence proof of monads by Leibniz, we presented a promising interpretation for the issue of the relationship between the simple substance (monad) and the composite substance.
