Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project purposed to investigate how partisan politics has influenced labor market and social policies against "new social risks," which have come to the surface under post-industrialization in recent decades. My research conducted with this grant revealed that political parties have competed with each other over not just redistributive left-right dimension but also social-value liberal-conservative dimension in advanced industrialized countries. And it also demonstrated that party competition in the two-dimensional policy space has had impacts on labor market and child-rearing support policies.
