Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Traditionally, researchers in spatial economics have investigated the relationship between spatial distribution of economic activities and various market imperfections/spatial asymmetries whereas those in (local) public economics have examined efficacy of regional economic policies assuming perfect competitive markets and regional symmetry. This research project has unified the two strands of research and uncovered the efficacy of regional economic policies under market imperfections/ regional asymmetries.
