Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Post world war I China was the golden age of economic growth under unequal treaty regime. In the Shanghai concession, many modern enterprises -such as cotton textile manufactures- founded one after another. Simultaneously, industrial finance was developed, stock market established, modern banking developed rapidly. In these enterprises, many businessmen that educated in business school on American Christian university took active part in business activity. This project analyzed how these new businessmen changed the traditional commercial customs on modern China.
