Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The present study examined whether tolerating ambiguity positively could be a buffer factor for depression. First, we developed the new Ambiguity Tolerance Scale (ATS) in which all items were positively worded, and examined its reliability and validity. Second, we used the ATS to examine the relationship between ambiguity tolerance and depression. Results showed that ATS had relatively good reliability and validity, and that ambiguity tolerance could partially buffer against depression.
