Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research examined the time course of language selection in bilingual language production by using event-related brain potentials. The results showed that when same-script and different-script bilinguals named pictures in their second language English, they also activated their first language. However, it appeared that different-script bilinguals selected the language of production earlier than same-script bilinguals.
