Research Abstract |
Novel materials for controlled drug release system have been investigated using poly(N-vinylamide), which can be cationized only on surface. sPIC gel (surface polyion complex gel) was introduced with interpenetrating polymer network, using vinyl phosphonic acid, and its drug releasing control was examined. Poly(ethylene glycol) was introduced into poly(N-vinylacetamide) gel to obtain the high mechanical strength. Chitosan as cationic polymer was employed for hydrogel to absorb electrostatically charged drugs.
