Research Abstract |
In order to study mechanism of deformation and crack propagation in rock samples, simultaneous measurement system of neutron diffraction patterns and AE signal have been developed. Lattice strain measured by neutron diffraction and AE signal that would be generated by grain slip and micro crack in a rock sample under uni-axial commpression have been measured.
