Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Jasmonate is one of plant hormones and is involved in various processes. In this study, we aimed to develop a bolting inhibitor based on structure-activity relationship studies of jasmonates. Methyl 3-iso-cucurbate was found to inhibit the stem elongation (bolting) of Brassica plants. Furthermore, its application did not induce leaf senescence. Therefore, it is a potential bolting inhibitor for winter annual crops.
