Research Abstract |
A theoretical equation was proposed to estimate the moisture content of wood by using a pair of X-ray beams generated with different tube voltages (between 15-40 kV) and it was experimentally demonstrated. This method has the potential to determine moisture content of solid wood using X-ray without oven-drying or assuming oven-dry density (Wood Sci Technol 2013).
