Research Abstract |
To improve the chiral NHC ligand that we developed, steric and electronic effects of substituents were examined. As a result, selectivity in allylic substitution of 1-alkenyl chloride with aryl Grignard reagents was significantly enhanced. In addition, a new cyclization reaction, chiral cyclitol syntheses, kinetic resolution of secondary alcohols were achieved.
