Research Abstract |
This project aimed to clarify the effect of maternal exposure to carbon black nanoparticle on the immune system of offspring and underlying epigenetic and other mechanisms. The results indicated that epigenetics does not, but thymis transcription factors NF1 and GFI1 may contribute to the developmental effect on the immune system. In addition, exposure to carbon black nanoparticle during the period of organogenesis, the middle fetal development, may mostly contribute to its effects on the immune system of offspring mice.
