Research Abstract |
99mTcO4- scintigraphy was useful in detecting thyroid remnants in patients with well-differentiated thyroid cancer after total thyroidectomy. We proved that 99mTcO4- scintigraphy could detect thyroid remnants without low iodine diet which was essential preparation for 131I scintigraphy. Compared with 99mTcO4- scintigraphy, 99mTcO4- SPECT/CT had high sensitivity in detecting thyroid remnants and provided additional information on their locations.
