Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The curative therapy for ischemic organ failure is revascularization, whereas the phenomenon termed ischemia-reperfusion(I/R) injury has known to occur at the reperfusion period, and the control of I/R injury could affect patient prognosis. Ischemic or pharmacological preconditioning have known as the powerful means for regulating I/R injury, so we studied about modulating factors on myocardial preconditioning. We hypothesized that clinically used agents such as some anesthetics are modulating factors on myocardial preconditioning, and investigated using myocardial I/R injury rat model.
