Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a patient-centered Healthcare Information sharing System for patients at home (His@home), an iPad application. His@home enables home-care patients and their family members to input data on a daily basis and use cloud computing to communicate this information to their healthcare team in a timely manner. The program’s fonts and buttons are large enough to be easily read, and the application is intuitive. Experimental results indicate that this application makes it possible for patients to lead an active daily life and to feel connected with related personnel during hospitalization. The medical staff are also able to get a sense of fulfilment in their work.
