Research Abstract |
The research realized a web application on which a user can create a haptic content by using a conventional pointing input device such as a smart phone. We employed a stroking motion for our haptic contents. Additionally, we developed an algorithm to encode the haptic content into an image format so that the content can be shared through SNS. We also fabricated a haptic device to display the content on a user's skin. As an application, we proposed "Haptic-Emoticon" system which enhances text based message emotionally.
