Research Abstract |
We developed a novel technique to produce cell-derived liposomes which have specific membrane proteins expressed in human cells, and applied those liposomes to a QCM (quartz crystal microbalance) sensor for detecting interactions between membrane proteins and their ligands. Using this technique and gene transfection, we succeeded in producing liposomes which have Bradykinin B2 receptors, GPCRs for bradykinin, and detecting bradykinin using the sensor where the liposomes were immobilized.
