American president often issues signing statement when he signs a bill into law to assert constitutional objections to some provisions and to announce these provisions will be executed in a manner inconsistent with Congressional intent. The Constitution of United States just allows presidents to sign a bill or veto it.My research focused on the use of signing statements of George W. Bush and Barack Obama. I found that lawyers in White house and Department of Justice stretched the meaning of Take Care Clause to legitimize presidential signing statement.
