Research Abstract |
This study aims to clarify distinguishing characteristics of education and inequality under institutional context of Japanese school system compared to other countries using some micro data. We found that Japanese educational system with high stratification, high standardization, but low vocational specificity shapes education and inequality different from other countries like U.S. and Germany.
