Outline of Research at the Start

重複障害児は医療や学校保健における視力検査の実施が困難なため、その多くは測定不能とされ、特別支援学校在籍児童の３分の１を占める重複障害児における視覚障害の有無と障害の程度は適切に把握されていない。
本研究では、重複障害児の視機能障害のリスクを８タイプに類型化し、類型別の評価の観点や具体的な評価法について検討し、重複障害児を含む障害のある子どものための包括的視機能評価システムを立案する。また、海外における視覚に配慮した重複障害児のための学習環境調査と実践研究を行い、視覚に配慮した学習環境モデルを構築する。
