| Outline of Research at the Start |
日本政府の決定を受け、東京電力がトリチウムを含むALPS処理水の海洋放出を開始した。それに伴い、全国各地の水産物への風評被害が広がっている。本研究では、1)原発周辺水域に生息する魚類の放射性セシウムおよびトリチウム濃度の把握、2)多面的アプローチによる魚類の放射能汚染機序の解明、3)水産物の安全性の評価と科学的知見の効果的な発信、の3課題の遂行を通じて、福島県の漁業復興や、国内外での水産物の風評払拭に資することを目的とする。国際的な注目を集めるなか、原発周辺水域での実態把握と、魚類の生理生態特性に応じた放射性セシウムとトリチウムの動態解明を目指す本研究の学術的独自性と創造性は極めて高い。
