Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、研究代表者らが独自に見いだした生体組織のままで解析できる集団細胞移動モデルを用いて、組織形成を成し遂げる細胞の動的制御機構を解明し、個体の中で細胞移動を制御する普遍的分子メカニズムを明らかにする。ショウジョウバエ雄性外生殖器は形態形成の段階で時計回りに1回転し、その回転は、外生殖器を取り囲む細胞が集団移動することを明らかにした。本研究は、この「生体内集団細胞移動モデル」を用いて、遺伝学的操作・ライブイメージング・スクリーニング・シングルセル解析を用いることで、個体における上皮細胞集団移動の作動原理を体系的に理解する。
