Outline of Research at the Start

がんの克服は現代の超高齢化社会の医療において喫緊の課題である。がんゲノム解析・分子標的治療・がん免疫療法によりがん治療が進歩した一方で、がんの再発・治療抵抗性の獲得は、がん研究の永遠の課題でもある。染色体外DNA（extrachromosomal DNA, ecDNA）は、がんの不均一性・進化・治療抵抗性に関係する新しい分子機構として近年注目されつつある。本研究では、これまでのスーパーエンハンサー・細胞内相分離に関する研究を発展させ、ecDNAとがんの関係を統合的に明らかにすることで、ecDNAを標的としたがんの進化に向き合うがん治療の基盤を確立する。
