| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、運動・運動不足・加齢により制御される骨格筋由来分泌因子「マイオカイン」に着目し、サルコペニア、慢性心不全や慢性腎不全などの加齢関連疾患における役割を個体レベルで明らかにし、その詳細な分子機構を細胞レベルで解明する。そして、マイオカインの臓器間ネットワーク機構の解析により、加齢関連疾患の病態生理解明だけでなく予防法と創薬の開発につなげ、さらには健康寿命延伸へ応用することを目指す。
