| Outline of Research at the Start |
盲学校の4割が海岸から3km以内に位置する現在、視覚障害児が津波の発生と動きを予測して迅速な避難をするために、触察と音声で津波の様態を確認できる専用教材が必要とされている。
そこで、津波警報音声の再生と共に海水流入を触察で確認できる「触察用可動港湾模型」を開発する。
本研究は、盲学校に本模型の試験導入を図り、地震・津波発生の状況変化を正しく理解できるよう盲学校の防災教育を支援する。さらに、関係機関にレンタル提供する等で一般視覚障害者への津波理解普及にも役立てる社会貢献事業とする。
