Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、前研究「日中戦争期の湘西における知識人・高等教育機関の移動と文化的変容の研究」（20K00363、研究代表者：齊藤大紀）を引き継ぎ、日中戦争期の湖南省西部（以下湘西と略称）における外地から疎開した漢族知識人および地元の少数民族である苗族知識人の動向および知的交流を調査するものである。前研究の過程で、当時の湘西の文化的、社会的な変容は、決して疎開知識人が地元の苗族知識人を啓蒙するという一方的な構図で捉えられるべきものではないことが判明した。本研究では、疎開知識人⇔苗族知識人という相互交通の図式によって湘西の文化的、社会的変容を、前研究からより一歩進んで検証・解明することを目指す。
