Outline of Research at the Start

地球温暖化による気候危機と呼ばれる状況のなか、災害史・環境史研究は喫緊の課題である。このテーマを強力に推進することによって、ひとつには拡張主義・開発史観から抜け出すため歴史研究者自身の認識を改めなくてはならない。もうひとつには、歴史研究者以外の人々へは、直接には防災・環境意識を高めるととともに、いつのまにか拡張主義・開発史観が相対化されるような歴史叙述を提供しなければならない。その方法として〈連関〉の環境史研究を採用する。それは、生物・非生物を問わず人間でないものも歴史の主体として取り扱うというものである。自然災害も人間でない非生物の歴史主体のなかの一つとして位置付ける。
