Outline of Research at the Start

博物館で展示される出土鉄製文化財に対して、その劣化特性に応じた環境条件の推奨値を新たに提示することを目指した研究である。現状では一義的に定められた出土鉄製文化財の推奨値が用いられているため、個々に応じた環境条件下で展示できないことによる様々な問題が生じている。本研究は出土鉄製文化財の状態に応じた環境条件の推奨値を科学的エビデンスに基づいて再構築し、さらに現場の学芸員が活用できる展示管理システムとして提案することを目指す。本研究の成果は、展示中の出土鉄製文化財の保全を確実にすることに加えて、不要なエネルギー消費の削減も同時に達成する次世代型の展示管理システムになると期待される。
