Outline of Research at the Start

東南アジアにおける憲法思想および民主主義制度の移入過程とその後の変容を比較し、①「権力の制限と人権の保障」を核心とする近代憲法モデルが現在の東南アジアでどのように位置づけることができるか、②もう一つの移入された制度としての民主主義が、各国の憲法政治に与える影響を明らかにする。
そこで、インドネシア、タイ、ベトナム、ラオスの4カ国を対象とし、憲法学の歴史的経過、政治制度の変遷、およびその憲法政治への影響を研究する。特に、①憲法の理論的側面として、憲法史および憲法学の歴史的経過と議論状況に加え、政治経済学的側面を重視し、②制度の変化、③憲法政治における合理的選択にという視点からも分析を行う。
