Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は，開発途上国における高精細な人口データ整備の実現および，衛星画像分析技術の最前線における課題解決と技術革新を目指すために，衛星画像を活用して建物を自動的に抽出し，さらに個々の建物の属性（用途，高さ，所得水準等）を推定する手法を開発する．またその結果に基づき，建物単位の高精細な人口分布の把握を実現する一連の技術開発を目的とする．当面は東京とバンコクの都市圏を対象に研究を展開するが，進捗状況に応じて他の開発途上国の都市に拡張し，同手法の汎用性や課題を明らかにしていく．
