Outline of Research at the Start

Through a combination of experiments (Study 1) and field surveys (Study 2) conducted in Japan (and/or Hong Kong), this research delves into the impact of anthropomorphism on diverse facets of AI perception. These facets include interpersonal communication satisfaction, trust, perceived capability, acceptance, and perceived in-role performance of AI teammates. Additionally, we explore the mediating role of team-member exchange between humans and AI agents and the moderating role of openness to experience in the relationship between AI anthropomorphism and the perception of AI as a teammate.
