Outline of Research at the Start

本研究はアジア地域におけるトランスナショナルな学生移動＝留学を学びのメディア（媒介）と位置付け、特に留学先国を決定する上でのホスト先国・社会への文化的・社会的な要因に注目し、特にポピュラーカルチャーなど文化的な動機によって留学をする学生の、高等教育機関における国際教育、および高等教育機関外における交流と学びという2つの空間に注目し、留学先国・社会・人々への認識およびアイデンティティにおける影響と変容を分析し、それらを通じて留学を通じた市民外交がどのようなダイナミズムの元に展開するのかを明らかにする。
