Outline of Research at the Start

酸素、ネオン、マグネシウムを主成分とするコアを持つ白色矮星（ONeMg 白色矮星）が伴星からのガス降着や連星合体を経て中性子星へと重力崩壊するAccretion Induced Collapse （AIC）、Merger Induced Collapse （MIC）は、コンパクト天体形成・進化過程のミッシングリンクとなっており、高速電波バーストや核爆発(Ia) 型超新星爆発の起源を解明するための鍵である。本研究ではAIC/MIC 親星系の形成・進化、AIC/MIC と中性子星形成・超新星爆発、AIC/MIC残骸天体のその後の進化について首尾一貫した理論計算を行う。
