Outline of Research at the Start

生命材料の主要構成元素のひとつである窒素の初期太陽系における存在形態は、ほとんど未解明である。太陽系遠方由来の氷天体で観測されたアンモニウム塩は、初期太陽系窒素の主要な貯蔵先であり、不凍液下での無機物-有機物の化学進化を引き起こす重要な物質であると提案されている。地球外試料にアンモニウム塩が同定されれば、極低温の水環境への理解を大きく飛躍させるが、未だ発見に至っていない。本研究では、炭素質小惑星リュウグウの試料に高揮発性の塩類が残存すると推測し、大気下での変質を防いだ微小領域分析を独自に組み合わせて、アンモニウム塩の検出を目指す。
