Outline of Research at the Start

Fluid transport in the crust is important for controlling volcanic eruptions. However, volcanoes are essentially large-scale chemical reactors: how do geochemical processes affect fluid flow and volcanic hazard? This project will address this gap through laboratory, field, and numerical approaches.
