Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の概要は、プレート収束境界断層で生じている地質現象（特に、岩石歪の解放現象）の詳細を明らかにすることを目的に行う研究である。この目的の為に、インド北部のHimachal Pradesh州 Subathu市に露出する主境界衝上断層に対し、主境界衝上断層を含む約2km四方の領域の地質調査を行い、研究室において採取した岩石試料の微細組織を観察する。また微細組織の形成過程を明らかにするために、数値シミュレーションを行う。
