Outline of Research at the Start

異常ネルンスト効果は材料の持つ磁気秩序に起因した新しい熱電効果であり、革新的な環境発電技術として近年注目されている。熱電変換性能は磁性材料固有の電子状態とそのトポロジーにより特徴づけられるが、十分な磁気熱電材料の設計指針が得られているに至っていない。材料に特異な機能をもたらす手法として格子ひずみの導入があり、本研究では格子ひずみ導入による磁気熱電機能の最適化とその力学設計基盤の創出を目指す。
