Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、遺伝子抽出から遺伝子診断までの一連の検査プロセスをマイクロ流体デバイス上に実装した完全自動診断システムの開発を目的として実施する。本検査技術の実現によって、ヒト感染症のパンデミックに備えた多検体・多項目の迅速診断が可能となる。また、食品製造工程の管理手法として、食物アレルゲン特定原材料の混入や食中毒に対する品質・衛生管理を低コストかつ迅速に実現することが可能となる。さらに、食料の安定供給の観点からは、専門知識やスキルをもたない一般の農業生産者でも、現場にて簡便・迅速に農作物の病害検査を遺伝子レベルで実施することが可能となる。
