Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、イタリア都市研究手法を応用しながら、ネパールの世界遺産「カトマンズの渓谷」のまちなみと住宅の丹念な現地調査を行う。独自の研究手法として確立した単体で多様な役割を果たす「庇タイプ」という指標活用により、SDGs目標11「住み続けられるまちづくり」の達成目標11-4「世界の文化遺産や自然遺産を保護」を目指す。これは、今後のネパール歴史都市研究手法のスタンダードとなると考えている。庇タイプは、都市全体の歴史的な空間形成過程を具体的に読み解くだけでなく、「生きられた空間」としての世界遺産の生活空間変化、景観変容、建物の地震応答特性など同時代的な都市問題を簡単に多面的に考察する糸口となる。
