Outline of Research at the Start

本研究課題は、現在のトルコ共和国中南部地域に残存する、中世初期のキリスト教建築揺籃期に創建されたキリスト教会堂建築遺構群を対象に、各遺構の実地調査で得られた詳細データに基づき、その建築構成や上部架構、構築方法をはじめとする建築的特質を包括的に明らかにするとともに、シリアやカフカース等、当該地域の周辺におけるキリスト教建築にみる 特質との比較を通じて、当該建築遺構群のキリスト教建築史における史的位置付けについて考察するものである。
